"Let me introduce the word hypertext to mean a body of written or pictorial material interconnected in such a complex way that it could not conveniently be presented or represented on paper"—Ted Nelson

This layout puts the main text in the left hand frame, and the hypertext in the right hand frame. The idea is that the two can be used together or independently, and the main text can be left clear of intense detail so that it flows and can be read more easily. The design is inspired by Ted Nelson's Cosmic Book, but uses ubiquitous contemporary tools. Note that many of the links are two-way.
