Great stuff Micah!
Sounds very authentic, I picked up a bit of Spanish, someone talking about ‘dinero’ (money) - rather appropriate in the market place.
Would be interesting to hear Mayan language, although the Spanish did work well. If I can think of any sources will let you know.
Just a couple of suggestions; the sound of a dog barking (in the distance), a rooster crowing or chickens doing whatever is that they do… and possibly the (distant) sound of children laughing…. this would give it even more of an homegrown feel.
But overall I think youve nailed it!

Hi Tania, i shall find some samples of those and layer them up in the background so they drift in and out, have got the market soundscape spilit up into multiple layers so i can bring in or reduce different elements easily. Let me know if you find any samples of the trumpet like instrument?..is its correct name a ‘hom-tah’? (see previous post) it would be cool to have this sound through there as well maybe?
